3 lines that make every AI prompt 10x better
Tell the AI who you are and who you're talking to. Are you a marketer writing for CEOs? A student emailing a professor? A developer documenting an API? The more specific, the better the output.
Example
"You are a senior copywriter at a tech startup. The audience is non-technical C-suite executives."
Tell the AI exactly what you want back. An email? A tweet thread? A bullet-point summary? A Python script? Don't let AI guess — it'll default to a generic blob of text.
Example
"Write a 3-paragraph email with a clear subject line and one call-to-action."
Set the rules. Length, tone, deadline, what to avoid. Constraints force creativity and precision.
Example
"Maximum 150 words. Professional but warm. No jargon. End with a question."
Copy this template. Paste it into Claude or ChatGPT. Fill in the brackets.
